Through the magic of remote-control channel tuners, you can sit on your sofa and watch random scenes of cops chasing punks,cops talking in squad cars and cops aiding victimized prostitutes.

Alternately, you could buy a ticket and watch "Hollywood ViceSquad."

Its advertising campaign and title notwithstanding, "Hollywood Vice Squad" is not to be confused with the glitzy cop show "Miami Vice," nor with the movie of a couple of years ago "ViceSquad," which dealt mostly with prostitutes and depictions ofkinky sexual practices.

Instead, "Hollywood Vice Squad" gives the impression of watching someone else zap his way …
